God's Love For Us

Howdy, everyone! This week is special. Tuesday, February 14th, is Valentine's day. I am excited about all the events my university has planned for this week for the holiday! With Valentine's day being right around the corner, I wanted to talk about the most meaningful love: the love God has for us and the love Christians share.

God loves us so much! He loves us so much that He sent His one and only Son to save us from our sins (John 3:16), steadfast (Psalm 36:7), and is infinite and so broad (Ephesians 3:18). God has loved us since we were before we were created, and He will never stop loving us. There are so many words to describe the love God has for us. When we become Christians, God wants us to love. Romans 5:5 says "and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us." As Christians, we are also called to love God and others. 1 Corinthians 13 perfectly describes how we should love each other as Christians and how Christians should love people who do not believe. This passage does not only show to love fellow believers and non-Christians but how we should extend our love to everybody. Christians also love God. Deuteronomy 6:5 says "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might." God loves us and wants us to love Him with all we have.

God is love. Christians show love to God and others. I love being a Christian because God loves the world and, I love God. If you take anything away from this blog, it is that there is love in Christianity. I hope you have a wonderful valentines day. Until next time.
