3 D.I.Y. College Decorations to Try Now!

 

        Looking for college decorations, but what you have found does not come in the colors you like? Looking for something a little different? You have come to the right place! Howdy everyone! Welcome to my blog. Today, I am sharing 3 college décor D.I.Y. ideas to help meet your decoration needs. These D.I.Y. creations are super easy and quick that you will have the neatest college decor on campus. Anyway, let's get started.

        First, the wreath. I created this D.I.Y. wreath to fit my unique style. Possibilities for the wreath are endless. You can do anything from a spring wreath to a winter, summer, and fall wreath. Here are the steps to take:

                1. Purchase the supplies. First is a wreath base. This can be wood, like my wreath, or a single wire. The wreath can also include wood circles, similar to my wreath, or it can be a flat circle. Depending on your style, you need to purchase the accessories that will be hot glued on to the wreath. This can be flowers, feathers, greenery, and more. If you do not already have a hot glue gun, go ahead and purchase one too. Places that sell these supplies are Hobby Lobby, Walmart, Target, and Amazon.

                2. Create a basic outline of where you want your accessories to go. You can take a picture of this to make sure you remember what you put in place.

                3. Place the accessories on the wreath. You can the photo you took to organize your wreath.

        Second, painting a plant pot. Similar to the wreath, the creative possibilities are endless. You can do anything from basic colors that align with your room aesthetic, and you can do designs as well. Here are the steps:

                1. Buy painting supplies and pots. You need to purchase paint, pots, and if you want to create a design you can buy stencils to create designs with. Places that sell these supplies are Hobby Lobby, Walmart, Target, and Amazon.

                2. Once you have purchased the items, start painting and designing.

        Third, is painting clothes pins for Polaroid pictures. This is a previous craft here on my page. I love taking Polaroid photos, and I have a colorful dorm, so spicing up the hangers is great for decor.

            1. Purchase clothes pins. When purchasing pins, make sure to get the small ones. Grab some paint and thick craft string, and start creating.

            2. Paint your pints whichever color you would like

            3. Hang up your Polaroids using the string and colorful pins.
